Ini nga adlaw dapat man nga e silibrar sang mga ta-o nga binaya-an kag naga isahanon. Bilang isa sa mga abyan ninyo, akon gid kamo gina hang-yu nga updi man ninyo ako sa pag silibrar sang sini nga adlaw nga may pag la-um, kag bukas nga taghipusu-on sa pag baton sang aton tagsa-tagsa nga kapaslawan, pag intindi sang mga kapaslawan sa aton tanan nga pinalangga nga nag apekto gid sang aton tagsa-tagsa ka kabuhi. Brief Iloilo stop, and missed everything.
My recent vacation back in my home town was a brief one (like the last time), so I haven't gone to many places due to limited time. Besides it was really for my Lola's 80th birthday. I got the chance to see my aunts too from abroad after quite some time.
Anyway, the nothing really change much of the city except for some weird jeepney routes. Oh, and there's the Boardwalk, I got to pass by there. It was really knucklehead move of me not to bring my prehistoric digicam. It was a nice place, calm. From the Boardwalk I got to pass by the new road connecting Diversion and Tabucan. Wow, we have the Ateneo in there. I so happy for Mandurriao. I felt like a stranger in my own place after so many years.
Maybe next time I come home, I'll stay more than a week. When I got back to Manila, darn it, they went out to the beach in Anhawan. Man I miss the beach so much, I wanna get off that plane. Oh, the next couple of days, they went hiking in Antique. Waaaaa!! Kill me now.
Okay, enough of the ranting. I got to eat local batchoy at Deco's though, as a consolation.
By the way, the last time I was here, no Starbucks yet.

It's the year of the Water Dragon, and according to so called feng shui experts, its going to be a rough year. Is Chinese astrology coinciding with the Mayans? We'll all hope it does not. Hello 2012!
The holidays are over. The never ending food actually ended, and the past year...well... is over and so we start anew. 'Twas a year to be remembered...not! Actually, I really did not liked 2011. Nothing really significant happened. I dunno, maybe it was just me not doing anything to make things happen. I did have a lot of goals during that year, but they ended just wishes as nothing was accomplished.
And now I face 2012, another year, another beginning, oh and did I say another number just added to my age? Anyway, I won't expect much to this year, as the scum of the past year will still haunt me, and until I'm done with all that, then I can say that a new beginning will start. I won't make promises this 2012, but will try to make this year a lot better than 2011. That year really sucked for me. I dunno where I will start but hopefully Beth's coming home this February will shed some light. I am really looking forward to that day. Wow, it has really been a year, and it was fast. I could still remember the day we took her to the airport.Okay, so I guess, I'll just have to clean out 2011's mess and move on, so help me God.
By the way, I do hope 2012 won't come up short and end at December 21. :)

Why does it have to be just me who has the artistic mind around the office? Every year, I'm tasked to do this, design this, make this... but hey, I'm not complaining or anything, 'cause I love doing this stuff, just to break away from the norm. I'm thinking though its either no one gives a crap to even bother doing this things and they are glad I'm on their team or they have full on believe in me. Either way, I'll take the damn task any time, even with a few back pain and lack of sleep issues after. For this year, I made this. It's not much, I have to cram it in 2 days.

Mayo man kami diri ah, survive man, maski budlay ang pangabuhi. Baw, gin bilin mo ako nga lamharon palang, na pwersahan nalang ko nga mag tindog bilang tatay sa mga utod ko eh. Although, medyo wala na tuman ang expectations, pero sige lang ang imnportante, lipay lang kag wala gamo. Ay may apo ka na gale, pero indi sa akon. Dugay pa na ya sa akon ah. Damo problema sa balay, pero gina tinguhaan man nga masolbar ah.
Siguro kung ari ka di subong, upod kita permi hampang basket kag chess asta pusoy dos kung; hagaron ta sa pañero Boy eh. THANK GOD IT'S OVER!! (THE ROYAL PARADE OF CRAZY HATS)
So okay, tapos na ang Royal Wedding. Can we go on with life now? Please..
I was out early from work, by the time I arrived home, turned on the TV hoping to see what good to watch. For a few seconds, the totally forgot about the Royal Wedding, and God! They are all over the goddamn TV! Every channel I switched to, it's their faces I see. This is hopeless, might as well suck it in. (at least I'll have something to rant about, like now). I really did't paid much attention to the whole wedding, but what caught my attention it the parade of the most eccentric head dresses. My aunt told me it's "traditional" to the Brits, but ODK! do they have to be that Lady Gaga-ish??

Well, I didn't finish the whole wedding and the latter part of it 'cause I have a movie to catch (THOR), and I did miss the kiss thing, so I guess I'll just have to keep on looking at it here.
Ang di ko lang maintindihan is how this whole thing got into the hearts of Pinoys, I mean why do have to care? Really? Di naman kita under sg British colony. I don't what benefit it would give us. I guess were just suckers for this, bandwagoners.
So as what I am saying earlier, the whole thing is over.. so could you please bring back the regular programming on my TV.

SEMANA SANTA SA AMON (SADTO)
Semana Santa na naman. Dumduman ko pa sadto sg lamharom pa ako, mga few days before sg Palm Sunday, naga libot na ako ni sa amon lugar para mag solicit. During this time ang tawo sa lugar namon busy na because we are going to convert the waiting shed sa bangga into one of the Stations of the Cross, the Ninth Station to be precise. Si tatay ni usually naga una sg buhi pa sya, then later it was Apa (tiyo).
Ipa gwa na namon ang mga gamit from last year nga pwede pa i'restore. There I could see mga tawo sa amon buliganay putting up the Kapiya. Pag na tapos na usually ang mga heavy part like ang pag construct kag electrical, ang mga babaye namon mabulos para i'decorar. The funny part is that, kanya kanya sila pa gwa ng ila pinaka manami nag tanum kag bulak para ipasundayag, trying to outdo the other houses' plants.
By Mierkules Santo sg gabi, ara na na mag tipilipon kami sa tubang sa Kapiya. Kanya kanya dala pulungku'an, kay ma sugod na kami kanta Pasyon. Usually, si Nang Pining (Abilo) or si Nang Lena (R.I.P.) ni ang ga lider lider sg rosary. Pagkatapos ara na nagguluwa mga pala-oy la-oy tingong ni Lola Elid. The thing is its not oldies affair tungod madamo nga kabataan sadto sa lugar namon ang ga intra kag ga'upod kinanta. There's also the meron nga ara lang da for the free food.
Since nag baylo pari sa Mandurriao, ang age old tradition sa lugar gin dula nya. I mean for what I can remember ang tawo sa Mandurriao started this thing way long time ago. Anyways, hidlaw lang ko because every Holy Week, I look forward to this. The only time that mga tawo sa amon just gather around in one place not just to get together but to observe the lent in prayers.
This is very different from here where I am now. Ang mga tawo diri ya daw wala lang paki'alam, and very busy to such thing. They are taking advantage of the long weekend partying rather than observe the solemnity of the season.
Even I have work on Good Friday.

Sg nag ligad semana, nag ka'chansa ako maglantaw sine. Domingo, Mothers' Day, natabuan nga naka'upod ako sa family sg girlfriend ko para mag celebrate. But sg ara kami sa mall, expected ang tawo pwerte ka damo. After kami naka kaon, nag decide si papa nya na maglantaw nalang sine para may matambayan.
There's a lot of good movies showing, Iron Man 2 including. We went to see..... You To Me Are Everything.
And quite frankly, I enjoyed the movie. From the beautiful mountains of Benguet.
Shame on me.

HALLOWEEN WEEKEND BLUES
Oh well, third Halloween here in Manila and same ol’ routine…
Halloween eve. As much as I wanted to go out on a Saturday night, heck I was stuck back at work as if I wasn’t expecting this, worse I was until 5… Oh well, the upside is, I don't have to get out and spend money ‘coz I'm running a little low on dough… Good enough I was down snoring by the time a got home.
All saint’s day. What else to do on a Sunday? sleep all day. Yeah right! Wohoo!
Next day, all soul’s day. Uhmm ma’am Nats asked who would like to not work that day, since I dont have anyone to visit in the cementary here, I decided to work that day since it was a special holiday ( it’s supposed to be a regular holiday goddamit!). Well not much work during that day and it was sort of a breeze.. pa’easy easy lang. The downside is im bored.. and hungry ( I'm still broke, darn).
Nonetheless, still missed my ol’ man. I used to be the busiest one during these days back home, going to the cementery and all... and maybe next year, I’ll never be there again *sigh*

Uhmm ma’am Nats asked who would like to not work that day, since I dont have anyone to visit in the cementary here, I decided to work that day since it was a special holiday ( it’s supposed to be a regular holiday goddamit!). Well not much work during that day and it was sort of a breeze.. pa’easy easy lang. The downside is im bored.. and hungry ( I'm still broke, darn).
Nonetheless, still missed my ol’ man. I used to be the busiest one during these days back home, going to the cementery and all... and maybe next year, I’ll never be there again *sigh*

VALENTINE FOR ALL
Ari naman ang adlaw sg paghigugma kag pagpalangga.. maski diin ko mag kadto masimhutan ko ang matahom nag hamot sg mga bulak nga rosas.. maski din ko mag agi, ang mga lugar puno sg decorasion... hearts, roses, kiss mark, etc.. and all of a sudden the world turned into the vibrant shades of red, white and pink..
Ang iban naga palibog kung anu ang ila iregalo sa ila mga gahagugma.. ang iban daw wala lng pakialam kung ano gakalatabu sa palibot ya.. pero maski sa anu nga paagi mo i'celebraar ang ini nga adlaw, mapa fancy restuarant man with matching band and romantic atmoshphere or sa motel man.. ang importante maski sa isa ka adlaw ang kalibutan napuno sg gahum sg gugma..
Either gina celebrate mo ini upod ang imu nobya, asawa, kerida, imo pamilya, or even maski naga isahanon ka.. indi man necessary nag dapat mag gna share ka subng nga adlaw.. ang importante sadya ka.. indi mag kasubo nga wala sg may naga palangga sa imo tungod.. may isa nga naga palalngga sa imo sg labaw pa sa tanan..
